Great are 1990s Valley startups eg nvidia, musk's and googles exponentially linking much of whats humanly possible with machines engineered billion times mo(o)re maths brainpower than individuall human minds. But 1943 UK future shocks to.o. Geoffrey Crowther Economist Ed started debate keynes: were engineers deeper than economists in locking in futures next gens connect?. 1943 also saw dad norma cambridge studies interrupted serving last days as teen navigator allied bomber command burma. Surviving joyfully hired 1948 by Crowther to mediate engineers like Neumann Einstein Turing & Economist purpose. 3 generations apart, unfortunately Neumann-Einstein-Turing all left earth by early 1957: last coding notes Neumann's Computer and the Brain. Economist IQuiz disliked by EU but what to do with billion times more machine brainpower celebrated by Kennedy, & the royal families of UK & Japan. Whence not surprising greatest UK AI startups deep mind & arm influenced by royal societies & Cambridge business park ( crown property) & crick/watson open sources of dna, & cavendish lab 1920s influencing Taiwan's tech grandfather. see part 2 2025report 40 years in inteligence war between bad media and good education agents

2026 Best spaces to populate - waking up from 113 years of DC's Deep Sleep

Diary note 2018 was first time DC congress invited testimonies from edgy ai people; by this time they explained billion times more maths brainpower being applied to media over next 4 years was a great worry even as alphafold3 would over ame time  period  rich context ai would be exemplified by open source 250 million proteins for biotechnologists to rause their game out of all recognition

The National Convention Center May 7 to 9 is where 15000 minds will publically assess whats happened mainly in private since DC woke up in 2018 to AI Deepest secrets. It was back in 1905 that germany had been the wrong place to publish that man had not got deep enough maps to design physical energy, chemistry, meteorology, healthy bodies and minds or biotechnology. 25 years later Einstein and v Neumann escaped to the deeply siloised Princeton. They were thought to be far to trans-disciplinary weird to mix with college undergraduates so their advanced research lab was placed miles out of town. The consequence was when Turing visited Princeton 1938-9 Einstein didnt get to know of him and von neumann was to late to get Turing a visa. It was probably a good thing that Turing went back to London and Cambridge; notably the Cavendish-Rutherford lab had already planted deep mind/science curiosity in the brain of KT Li who went on to build Taiwan as the island that did most to save humanity.

Several awkward things happened during the last 6 year of the NET (Neumann Einstein Turing) who gave us the maps and million fold change exponentials of chips, computers, and satellites. on the health front while people probably knew that Einstein ws dying oif old age, they didnt know neumann was dying of cancer from nuclear bomb special project, and turing would commit suicide out of great mind loneliness.  Von Neumann open sourced his early understanding of computers much to Prinecton's Chagrin.  On satellites development of space he was worried that DC might be too secretive to fully value satelites for good. But what he didnt really expect was psychilgists and educatirs would turn aginat "computer and the brain" - as men preferred to rule the world of psychological metrics with patented frameowrks devoid of deep data analysis.

So even silicon valley went into ai deep sleep until 3 revolutionary alumni networks bumped into each other in ai valley 2009 after two had been told their doctirates were borderline faililing to honor their doscviplines hierarchical wisdom. Fortunately one was agamer the other the most meticulous data mapmaker; the third was building compouters with billion time smore brainpower..  and their ideas took another 6 years before investors piled in from coast to coast.

Meanwhile 30 years into living intDc I invite you to help improve this diary

May 7-9 DC Sonvention Center AI+Expo - coordinator Eric Schmidt; production team Crosytal city based www.scsm.ai

In terms of systems architecture we probably need engineering grandmaster and curious students triangularising combinations of all of the flowing

5 layer AI(Jensen Dec Dc 2025)
Billions of community action apps/personalised agents
millions of ai models
dozens of data sovereign spaces invested in suitable software infrastructre
optimal chips hardware
energy.
.Quantum
Space
Data fitting autonomous mobile last miles and/or digital twinning robotic- hybrid franchises from other hemispheres
Geometerology
Biochemistry
Obviously it is not practical for any one place to innovate tiops of al of these trinagularisations. What sad is education systems where professors (apparently 90% in US) say AI is a negative.

Dc Embassies can be incredib;y interesting to see whoch will root what data sovereign foudations. As a disapora scot i am biassed to being fascinated by places taking up the AI World Series summit King Charles started in Nov 2023 in memory of Turing, Crick Watson, Rutherford, Cavendish etc- you can see how many nobel prizes and/or queen elizabeth engineering prizes alo support Royal Ai partnersjhip models. In first half kif 2026, Indua's AI summit Fen 17 to 20 exceites me most as the first to connect ai layer 5 millions of action aps across tecj's ful stanck and the regional diversities of india's societies. My mothers family tree founded Mumbai's first pharmacy and helped Ganhi with early versions of sub-contients independenec - so yeah I am as biassed in celebrating engineering young indiuan brains as I am Taiwan's

Health ai has always seemed to me as a stsatistician to require worldwide cooperations - viurus datasets, cancer datasets, mind-alzgeimer datasets need both longitudinal data and all of eraths environmental as well as genetiuc diversityies to map, So I am looking forward to various medical ai summits in DC region - lets discuss if you have a favorite chris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk
